Marcy Hawkins, ICADCII, CCGC, is the founder and director of R-Quest Counseling Center, who has over 10 years experience in the field of Addiction Recovery. “I seem to be good at helping people get started in the recovery process.” She is Internationally Certified as an Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor with specialized training in Pathological Gambling, Eating Disorders, and Family Interventions.
Her office is located in Pleasanton and her clients consist of individuals and family members suffering from the devastating effects of addiction. She is the author of a 12 Step workbook and bible study titled He Restores My Soul: A 12 Step Journey Through Psalm 23. It is a 52 week study which guides individuals and/or groups through the 12 Steps and the 12 lines of David’s Psalm.
David’s paints a picture with his words which expands on the metaphor of the Good Shepherd and his sheep and puts you and me right in the middle of it. It’s the personal pronouns in the Steps and Psalm 23 that make the process of change an experience you can grab hold of and make your own.
